- QuickTurtle™ is a programmable black-&-white and 8-bit color paint
- program. It provides a text-editing environment & simple scripting
- language in which “turtle graphics” programs can be written, together
- with a graphics environment in which the programs are executed, and
- in which pictures can be edited with a full range of the standard paint
- tools. Additional features include built-in turtle graphics routines, a
- help facility for the scripting language, optional draw-type PICT output,
- high-resolution printing, editable patterns, brushes, and color palettes,
- and color animation. Complete documentation is included in the form of a
- Hypercard stack, together with numerous sample programs.
-
- QuickTurtle requires a Macintosh with 1MB of RAM, System 6.0.5 or later.
- For operating in color, a hard disk is required, 32-bit QuickDraw strongly
- recommended, and the screen depth must be set to 8 bits (256 colors, in
- the Control Panel).

- [Note: this is an abbreviated version of the ReadMe file included in
- the QuickTurtle Documentation archive. Because of the size of the
- package I have split it into 2 pieces so you can have a look at the
- application before you decide whether you want the documentation.
-
- The Documentation archive contains the QuickTurtle Document stack
- together with approximately 50 sample programs and 5 color palettes.
-
- The “QTPrograms” and (if you have color equipment) “QTPalettes” folders
- need to reside in the same folder as QuickTurtle when you run the program.]
